First Order and What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

Been a long time since I have managed to blog, since March I believe, this is due to working hard and having no time me time. I have recently made wedding  and evening invites for my sister's wedding which is in September. The wedding announcement was a surprise to everyone and as the wedding was booked for September the invites had to be done quickly. I will blog the finished invites at a later date.

All this lead to someone on my sister's Facebook asking about if I made wedding cards, I said yes and this lead to my first paid order. The order was for the 18th August 2013, so yet again not a lot of time to complete and the colour theme was Cadbury purple and hearts. So here is the finished card photographed on my desk this morning without all the mess around it showing. I hope she likes the card.

WOYWW

If you would like to look at the craft desks of the world pop over to http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

Below is my desk in a bit of a mess, I have a couple of things on the go, at the front is a card I am making for my great nephew's second birthday at the weekend. It is from the kit of one of the classes I took with Lynn http://www.amomentintime-craftycooper.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/fun-cards-with-motion.html at the Cardinal Colours spring crop (see previous post). The card is made from Doodlebugs Designs and the birthday cake is attached with an action wobble spring.

My bunting that I am still trying to complete has been abandoned for the bundle of bunting piled up at the rear of the desk. My daughter wanted to make some 21st bunting for her roommate at university, so we have made a start on that, we have got as far as embossing every other one with a flower design, next step is to cut out some figure 21's on the cricut. Then the next project to be competed by Sunday she informs is a canvas for her 21st birthday present!

Have a good day and happy desk hopping.

Cardinal Colours Spring Crop

Last weekend I had a great relaxing time at the  Cardinal Colours Spring Crop http://acalendarofcolours.blogspot.co.uk

it took place once again at Stones Cross near Eastbourne over two days.

I took two scrapbook layout classes and two card classes, I haven't managed to finish the cards and will post them at another time. However I did manage to complete the two layouts. The first class was with Anita http://inkyblossom.blogspot.co.uk with papers from the Bo Bunny Serenade Range, I actually preferred the papers on the reverse to the ones used to do her layout, as I found these brighter. Below is my finished layout.

The second class was with Linda http://lindascards.blogspot.co.uk

with papers from the Kaisercraft Pickled Pear range and was a male theme, we also used Tim Holtz distress stains to create splats.Below is my finished layout.

Looking forward to the next crop.

Wednesday again and if you would like to look around the craft desks of the world pop over to http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

Only a quick post today, on my desk the bunting has progressed, it has had the papers attached to it and all have been cut out  so about half way there now. Also is the card for my sisters birthday on Sunday which she shares with Mothers Day, I wish my Mum was still with me. I embossed the central panel and then coloured with inks using my stamping up blender pen and the greeting was made with my new stamping up punches.

Happy Wednesday everyone.

WOYWW

Wednesday again and so soon, cannot believe that it will also be March on Friday.
So it is time for WOYWW over at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk
where you can visit other peoples desks at your leisure.

Sorry about the quality of the photograph but it was taken late last night. So are you thinking why has she got a triangle on her desk. My daughter has requested that I make some bunting for her room in Bournemouth where she is away at university. She wanted pink and blue  but out of the hundreds and hundreds of sheets of papers and card in my stash could not find a lot of blue so we have gone for a pink and brown theme. The triangular bunting was purchased from Hobbycraft and I have just started the process of sticking the bunting on to the coloured papers and that is as far as it has got at the moment, hopefully by next week the finished product will be on the desk before it goes on it's travels down to Bournemouth.

Hope everyone is having a good wednesday.

Nearly forget to mention my new notice board which I treated myself to from Sainsburys as it was reduced, you may just be able to make out my To Do list on it. Ignore the red walls and the white patch which is the bottom of an England flag from when I decorated the room in the England theme when it was my sons bedroom in his younger days.

Baby Cards

Well I managed to be prepared for a change and made two Baby cards in preparation for the birth of my niece Emma's baby.

This was my first real attempt at embossing on my new Big Shot machine, with some embossing folders I purchased from E bay.

Emma gave birth to a beautiful baby girl called Ava on the 12th February 2013.

So the pink card was duly sent off to her. I have two more awaited babies but we already know they are girls, just my luck when I have a baby boy card already prepared.

SECOND ATTEMPT LINKED A PREVIOUS WEEK BY MISTAKE!

Time for WOYWW again over at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk where you can visit different blogs and have a nosy around their workspace.

I didn't make it last week, but thank you to all those that left comments the week before.

Here is my desk this week, sorry about the quality of the photograph. Still on the owl theme as the stamps are so easy to use. This is a birthday card for my niece Emma who is due to give birth any day now, so hopefully next week there will be a new baby card on my desk!

Have a good Wednesday everyone.

WOYWW

Wednesday again, it comes round so quickly, hope you all have been safe and warm with all this snow.

My desk has not changed much since last week but I have been busy.

I have finished the card for Hollie who will be one on the 2nd February, apart from I want to put some bling on the butterfly.

I have also made a couple of birthday cards. I was going to go on an economy drive and not buy anymore card making magazines but when I saw the free Woodware owl stamps I had to buy the magazine as these were the stamps that were used in a recent card making class I attended taught by Linda http://lindascards.blogspot.co.uk

The cards were made with the stamps and free papers and the ideas given and I stamped the owls on the back of the mistakes I made last week, so a bit of recycling took place.

Anyway here is a photograph of my desk for WOYWW at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk
and a couple of photographs of the owl cards.

Have a good day everyone.
