Been a long while since I blogged, so easing myself back in gently with and old favourite over at stamping ground blog.
A very messy desk with my attempts at starting to do a card in a box started very late a night, not a good idea. The layout is from a kit I've had for a while but not got around to finishing, will blog details later.

First Order and What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

Been a long time since I have managed to blog, since March I believe, this is due to working hard and having no time me time. I have recently made wedding  and evening invites for my sister's wedding which is in September. The wedding announcement was a surprise to everyone and as the wedding was booked for September the invites had to be done quickly. I will blog the finished invites at a later date.

All this lead to someone on my sister's Facebook asking about if I made wedding cards, I said yes and this lead to my first paid order. The order was for the 18th August 2013, so yet again not a lot of time to complete and the colour theme was Cadbury purple and hearts. So here is the finished card photographed on my desk this morning without all the mess around it showing. I hope she likes the card.

WOYWW

If you would like to look at the craft desks of the world pop over to http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

Below is my desk in a bit of a mess, I have a couple of things on the go, at the front is a card I am making for my great nephew's second birthday at the weekend. It is from the kit of one of the classes I took with Lynn http://www.amomentintime-craftycooper.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/fun-cards-with-motion.html at the Cardinal Colours spring crop (see previous post). The card is made from Doodlebugs Designs and the birthday cake is attached with an action wobble spring.

My bunting that I am still trying to complete has been abandoned for the bundle of bunting piled up at the rear of the desk. My daughter wanted to make some 21st bunting for her roommate at university, so we have made a start on that, we have got as far as embossing every other one with a flower design, next step is to cut out some figure 21's on the cricut. Then the next project to be competed by Sunday she informs is a canvas for her 21st birthday present!

Have a good day and happy desk hopping.

Cardinal Colours Spring Crop

Last weekend I had a great relaxing time at the  Cardinal Colours Spring Crop http://acalendarofcolours.blogspot.co.uk

it took place once again at Stones Cross near Eastbourne over two days.

I took two scrapbook layout classes and two card classes, I haven't managed to finish the cards and will post them at another time. However I did manage to complete the two layouts. The first class was with Anita http://inkyblossom.blogspot.co.uk with papers from the Bo Bunny Serenade Range, I actually preferred the papers on the reverse to the ones used to do her layout, as I found these brighter. Below is my finished layout.

The second class was with Linda http://lindascards.blogspot.co.uk

with papers from the Kaisercraft Pickled Pear range and was a male theme, we also used Tim Holtz distress stains to create splats.Below is my finished layout.

Looking forward to the next crop.
