FIRST DOUBLE LAYOUT

This is my first attempt at a double layout and I am very pleased with the result.
The pages are a scrap lift from the January challenge at http://scrapology-adventuresinscrapbooking.blogspot.com

The papers I used were a collection paper pack from My Mind Eye I Believe, the pack contains nine sheets of double sided paper and a page of die cut card shapes. The flowers are cut from one of the sheets of paper and mounted on small foam pads, border punches were used and the title Christmas Joy is chipboard painted with a dabber.

The photographs are of my great nephew and niece Ethan and Brooke at my house on Christmas Day 2010  opening their presents. I particularly like the second photograph in from the left, if you look carefully it is like Brooke is saying "what's he got is it better than what I have".

Random

Just wanted to share a photograph of an old singer sewing machine I came across on my travels a couple of weeks ago.
Have no idea how old it is and would love to have more time to do some research, can anyone let me have any more information about this?

March Challenge Over At Scrapology

This is my take on the March challenge over at http://scrapology-adventuresinscrapbooking.blogspot.com/

The photo is of my Daughter Beth taken a couple of years ago and have used the title Just So as it can be many things Beautiful, Charming, Intelligent, Kind, Caring, Mine or anything you want it to be.

The papers used were Basic Grey Curio double sided Cotton, Ophelia and Camelia and Bazill Dark Chocolate together with a printed page from an old book.

Why not have a go yourself chance of a lovely prize for your stash.

Thank you for all the comments I have received they are very encouraging.

A Catch Up Since My First Blog

I have had some exciting news since my first post which was the layout I did of my Mum. I submitted it to a scrapbooking magazine for the readers gallery and to my great surprise it has been accepted so I have carefully bundled it up and have posted it off, will let you know when it has actually gone into print.

Also at the beginning of last week I had to quickly make some new baby cards as my niece was expecting her first baby on the 20th March and as usual I had left everything to the last minute, had to make one of each as well as we do not know the sex. As to date we are still awaiting the arrival! Will keep you posted watch this space.

have to admit not really had the time to do many of the projects but I will, I am enjoying looking at everyones blogs.

So Cute

Not had a lot of time today to do anything from the Shimelle class www.shimelle.com/classes/618 but had to find time to share this photo.

Let me introduce you to my great niece Brooke age 3, this is how her Mum found her last night when she went into check on her, is she expecting rain I wonder?

And to top it all she has coordinated her brolly with her bedding and pyjamas.

I just love her x

Blogging for Scrapbookers Class

I have joined  www.shimelle.com/classes/618/a-new-online-scrapbooking-class-blogging-for-scrapbookers/ as I am new to blogging and it starts to day. Hopefully I can keep it up and last the three weeks.

The above photo is of the River Cray which was taken on Saturday 19th March 2011 whilst taking my Border Collie Blue for a walk along the river bank.  The River Cray runs through Crayford before joining the Darent which flows northwards into the River Thames between the Crayford and Dartford marshes.

The first task is to upload a photo hence the above and put down our intentions for the next three weeks, so here goes

1. Continue the weekend walks with Blue along the riverbank.
2. Try and keep up with the scrapbooking class.
3. Try and blog what has happened over the last couple of weeks.

My Mum

Welcome to my first entry, this is the most recent scrapbook page I have completed, scraplifted from http://www.amomentintime-craftycooper.blogspot.com which belongs to my friend Lynn a very talented lady. The layout is of my lovely Mum and my sisters dog Molly, sadly my Mum passed away suddenly on the 13th December last year. This is how I like to remember her with a smile enjoying herself.
